MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

Members must meet the below criteria in order to be eligible to apply as a member.

Alignment with IPHCC’s  mission and values:

Members of the IPHCC should 

  • Have a deep understanding of the expectations and priorities of Indigenous patients
  • Be dedicated to promoting health equity, cultural safety, and the restoration of Indigenous primary healthcare 

Members of the IPHCC should have a deep understanding of the IPHCC’s model of care, which emphasizes Indigenous health in Indigenous hands through the model of wholistic health and well being, as well as culturally safe approach to primary health care for Indigenous communities. They should be committed to promoting this model of care and ensuring its successful implementation throughout their organization

The IPHCC is status neutral, meaning that IPHCC supports Indigenous organizations providing services to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people who are with or without status.

Receive funding from Ontario Government and or Federal Government for Indigenous communites.

Be an integrated service delivery organizaton whose primary mandate is to provide wholistc interprofessional team-based care to Indigenous people.

Members of the IPHCC should adhere to the Council’s code of conduct, which outlines the rights and responsibilities of Council members. They should be committed to upholding the principles of good governance, including transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct.

Class “A” Membership

By joining IPHCC, you become part of a dynamic network dedicated to advancing Indigenous health care. Our members benefit from a range of resources, advocacy efforts, and collaborative opportunities that support the enhancement of primary health care for Indigenous communities.

Alliance for Healthier Communities 

Joint Membership

The IPHCC and The Alliance have partnered to offer a Joint Membership, providing members with the combined benefits of both organizations. This unique membership option allows you to maximize your resources and connections within the Indigenous health care community and beyond.

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

  • Not for profit corporaton or First Natons Band operatng in Ontario

  • Receive funding from Ontario Government and or Federal Government for Indigenous communites.

  • Be an integrated service delivery organizaton whose primary mandate is to provide wholistc interprofessional team-based care to Indigenous people.

  • Be an Indigenous-governed community-centred organizaton.

  • Supports the vision, mission and values of the IPHCC.

  • Endorses the Model of Wholistic Health and Wellbeing.

    The Model of Wholistic Health and Wellbeing operates from a Wholistic Indigenous health framework. Recognizing Indigenous rights to self-determinaton in health, the framework focuses on the restoraton and rebalancing of the physical, mental, emotonal and spiritual wellbeing of Indigenous people, families, communites and natons.
