Population Health
The Population Health department encompasses projects and initiatives relating to improving the health of the Indigenous population.
All portfolios work towards reducing health inequities between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Peoples and increasing the accessibility of health care services and resources for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis (FNIM) Peoples in Ontario. Current portfolios in the department include but are not limited to, communicable diseases (e.g. Covid-19, monkeypox), Indigenous engagement, cultural safety and sector evacuations.
